Kort beskrivelse af aktiviteten: A lecture (approx. 2 academic hours long) will introduce the exciting world of nanoscience and present a popular overview on: main methods used to study nano-objects; fabrication techniques in nanotechnologies covering physical methods and chemical synthesis; and application-oriented achievements in electronics, optics, sensing, catalysis and medicine using nanoscale structures. The lecture can be combined with laboratory tours at the department to show real setups and machines used in nanoscience as well as with hands-on projects in nanotechnology, in particular, in fabrication of micro- and nano-structures using lithography, in studying nanostructures relevant for optics and in characterisation of nano-objects using atomic force microscopy.

Besøgets varighed: Halv dag hvis foredraget kombineres med rundvisning eller hel dag for kombination af foredrag med rundvisning og projektarbejde i laboratoriet.
