"In his nine years as dean, Rasmus has proven that he can navigate and balance in the changing world of academia. He has led an area that has experienced political adversity, safeguarding Aalborg University's interests in the best possible way. At the same time, he has successfully been able to merge the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Humanities into a modern SSH (Social Sciences and Humanities) Faculty. So the choice of Rasmus for another term as dean wasn’t difficult," Rector Per Michael Johansen says.

With the extension of his fixed-term appointment, Rasmus Antoft is looking forward to continuing his work as dean of the faculty:

"I look forward to continuing the work of developing SSH at AAU. Despite many changes, there are still opportunities and potentials in research and teaching that we must pursue. And we must continue to make a strong impression on the world around us. I look forward to what we can achieve in the context of the great working relationship the faculty has with staff, students and the rest of the management at AAU," says Dean Rasmus Antoft.
