Who are you? And where do you work at AAU?
My name is Inge Andersen and I’ve been employed as a digital learning consultant at the Center for Digitally Supported Teaching (CDUL) for a year and a half. We’re located in AAU INNOVATE at Thomas Manns Vej 25 in Aalborg East.
Name three things you spend the most time on in your work?
Most of my working time is spent preparing various materials for CDUL to spread the word about who we are and what we do. I’m the one who takes care of the website and also produces various interactive materials for it. Also, I work on communication for the Institute for Advanced Study in PBL (IAS PBL), and I particularly work on managing the LinkedIn profile and producing the website so that it embraces all the different research groups and activities in IAS PBL. Lastly, I produce the podcast ‘Den Digitale Agora’, which is about how the different members of the teaching staff use digitalised teaching at AAU.
What would you like more of at AAU?
When I look out over AAU, I would like to see the different research cultures collaborate more across differences and so that they jointly lift each other and the students.
And what would you like to change at AAU?
If I had to change one thing, I would – as a former Danish teacher – make sure that everyone could use present tense in Danish correctly - with an ‘r’!
What is your best AAU memory?
My best AAU memory is probably from my student days. This was both a time for academics as well as a time for festivities where I learned more about myself and the society around me in so many ways.
What is the best AAU tip you would give a new colleague?
The best AAU tip I can give is that you should prioritise participating in the cross-disciplinary activities – and remember your access card!
Who are you passing the baton to and why?
I’m passing the baton to Mikkel Jensen, Assistant Professor in the Department of Culture and Learning, because he has an exciting research profile and is a skilled teacher. Mikkel is always good for a professional talk over a cup of coffee where his sharp observations are spiced up with an amazing sense of humour in singing Aalborg dialect.
