Shortly before Christmas, Norlys and Clever won two tenders from the Danish Building and Property Agency, which means that during 2024 there will be parking spaces with charging outlets for electric cars on Aalborg University's campuses in Aalborg East and Esbjerg. The Aalborg East campus is looking at 32 parking spaces for electric cars, and Esbjerg 10, according to Clever.

The Danish Building and Property Agency owns most of AAU's rented buildings, so the agency decides when to install charging outlets on campus in Aalborg East and Esbjerg – and by whom.

The Copenhagen campus has 10 parking spaces for electric cars. They were set up last year in collaboration with Clever.

AAU's Campus Director, Mogens Juul Møller, is delighted with the prospect of EV chargers at AAU in Aalborg and Esbjerg:

- Aalborg University contributes to the development of the green transition in many areas. By putting EV chargers on the main campus and in Esbjerg, we are making it easier for our staff, students and visitors to be part of the green transition by easily being able to charge their electric car, says Mogens Juul Møller.

For the city campus in Aalborg, Campus Service refers students and staff with electric cars to the public EV chargers that already exist around the city centre.
